I did a little study in perspective today. Standing right at the corner of this building, I took two shots and merged them in photoshop. I like it, but would like to do it again and get more of the building (peak) next time.

I have always liked this building. I don't know what it was or is or anything about it. When I was a little kid I thought it was where the trains slept at night (I don't know where I thought they entered the building) because it is situated right next to the tracks. There was a full moon tonight, so I tried my hand at moon shots again. I'm happy with the detail in the moon, and unhappy with the grain of the rest of this shot. Hmm, I guess I have a month to figure it out and be ready for the next full moon.

While I was out shooting in the dark, I grabbed a shot of my daily tree. I almost like the night shots better, they are interesting because it has colors and hues you don't see in the daytime. Oh, and the bright spot in the left hand side lower branches is the full moon. the tiny bright spot below that, is my cat's glowing eyes. Cool huh?

Some days are just snapshot days. I can't seem to get much more out of them. I took a photo opportunity that practically jumped in my lap, (pun intended) and with the filters in photo shop, tried to make it a usable snapshot day today. The results are cutesy... but every time I do that, I force myself to learn a little more about my photo finishing software. I would say that is a good learning day too.


Now after the big buildup here is the shot, "Hello Toad". I'd love to have some feedback, I'm a big girl. I can take it.

With apologies to my friends....

I have continued to neglect my blogging. I did keep up with my 365 challenge, but have been finding it hard to post everywhere in the evenings. Yes Jessy, I had kind of given up on this for facebook... but it made me feel bad. (I'd rather post more on the blog and not as much on fb.) Now I'm at least a month behind and that makes me feel overwhelmed.... so I'm going to remedy this. I'll post some of my favorites from the last few weeks, along with current days. and try to get caught up. Again, I'm sorry for the neglect to any of you who might still be following the blog. (I think there are only a couple of you left, and I love you for sticking with me!)

Now for some fun in the sprinkler.

I kept my camera well away from the spray and used my zoom. It was great to capture the raw fun out there on a hot day.
